Privacy Policy

Route 66 Interactive (route66interactive.com) is operated by Route 66 Extended Warranty (“we”, “us”) to deliver live training presentations and quizzes to our partners. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

If you join a session with a code:

• The screen name you enter and the session code.
• Your answers and score in that session.
• If you win a prize or finish a self-paced quiz and choose to submit them: your full name, credit union, and phone number.

If you are an administrator (presenter):

• Your email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash and are never readable, even by us.
• The presentations, quizzes, and video codes you create, including any video passwords (also stored only as a hash).

For everyone:

• Technical details our web server records automatically: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time.
• For security, the IP address and email address used in failed sign-in attempts and password-reset requests.

How we use it

• To run sessions: show your screen name and score on the leaderboard, record your answers, and pick winners. Winners are drawn at random, with more correct answers giving a better chance.
• To deliver prizes and quiz results: details you submit are emailed to the presenter who ran the session so they can contact you. Your phone number is used only for that, never for marketing calls or texts.
• To operate the site securely: sign administrators in, reset passwords, and protect against abuse.

We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for advertising, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who can see it

• The presenter running your session: your screen name, answers, and score, and any prize or quiz details you submit.
• Other participants in the same session: your screen name and score on the leaderboard.
• Companies that host the site and deliver its email, only as needed to provide those services.
• Authorities, if the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of others.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies that the site needs to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

• Session code, presentation, and screen name (participants): which session you joined and as whom. 7 days.
• Participant key (participants): a random key proving the answers are yours, so no one else can answer under your name. 7 days.
• Sign-in session (administrators): keeps you signed in. Ends when you close your browser or after 8 hours without activity.
• Sign-in details (administrators): your email, signed-in status, and current session. 7 days.
• Cookie notice: remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. 1 year.
• Leaderboard pause: stored in your browser (not a cookie) until you clear your browser data.

You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; you will then need to rejoin your session or sign in again.

How long we keep it

• Live presentations, including screen names, answers, and scores: deleted automatically the day after the session.
• Self-paced quizzes and their results: kept until the administrator who created them deletes them.
• Prize and quiz details: not stored on this site. They exist only in the email sent to the presenter, who keeps it only as long as needed to deliver the prize or record the result.
• Failed sign-in records and password-reset links: deleted within about a day. Reset links expire after 30 minutes and work only once.
• Server logs and database backups: 14 days.
• Administrator accounts: until the account is removed.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, administrator sessions use secure cookies that scripts cannot read, sign-in attempts are rate limited, and each administrator can access only their own presentations and videos. No system is perfectly secure; please contact us if you believe your information has been compromised.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing help@route66interactive.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under state law, such as the right to know what we collect and to request its deletion. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

Children

This site is intended for adults in a professional training setting. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
